Kids Doing Crafts

VIPS is a not for profit educational organization dedicated to enabling our city’s students to succeed in school by providing them with educational support services and individualized help so that they can grow academically and socially. VIPS vision is that all Providence public school students have an equal chance for success.
Adults Attending VIPS ESL Program Four hard working adults graduate from the VIPS ESL program. Through these new skills, many of these adults go on to better jobs and relationships with their children's schools.

Workshops for Parents
We know that parents want their children to have a first-rate education, and sometimes parents need a little help to know how to help their children.   VIPS has workshops to help parents help their kids!  We offer workshops in:

  • Basic Child Development
  • How to Help Your Child Succeed in School
  • Homework Helper

If you want VIPS to hold a workshop on some other topic, please contact us.  We receive requests from concerned parents, engaged Parent-Teacher Organizations, principals and businesses.  We can design a workshop to address your needs.  For more information, please contact VIPS at 274-3240.
