In-school volunteers are asked to spend one hour each week volunteering. To ensure the most successful outcomes for our students, we ask you to commit to volunteering at least a full semester, if not a full school year (September to June). Other volunteer opportunities exist during the summer. To become a VIPS' volunteer, you must

  • Fill out a VIPS' application
  • Consent to a background check and, if you are a mentor, consent to a fingerprint check
  • Provide VIPS with references
  • Attend a VIPS' training session
  • Agree to follow VIPS' rules

If you want specific information about our different programs, please call our office to speak to the Program Director.  She will explain our programs and help you determine which volunteer opportunity best suits your needs and interests.  Click on the link that will connect you with our volunteer application form.
